History

Herbert Archer & Herbert Holland opened Archer & Holland Jewellers on the corner of King William and Hindley Street Adelaide in 1918.

Archer & Holland thrived for many years until the depression in the 1930s, when Herbert Holland bought out Herbert Archer’s share of the business.

Herbert Holland continued to run the business and was heavily involved in the Adelaide City Council. When Herbert died in 1957, Archer & Holland was taken over by his daughters until his grandson Bill and his wife Meredith bought the business from his parents John & Mary in 1992.

Bill and Meredith have continued the family tradition since then with Bill manufacturing fine jewellery for over 30 years.
